Developing A Research Program To Address Behaviours Of Concern Following Traumatic Brain Injury

Executive Summary:

Behaviours of Concern following Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) — including aggression, agitation, sexual inappropriateness and lack of initiation - are a complex, multifaceted problem that presents challenges for persons with TBI, the people who care for and supportthem, service delivery organisations and wider society.

To address these issues, an NTRI Forum was conducted with the aim of developing a research program addressing Behaviours of Concern in Traumatic Brain Injury that reflects the needs of the Victorian Transport Accident Commission (TAC) and is consistent with the Institute of Safety, Compensation and Recovery Research (ISCRR) Neurotrauma Research Strategy.
